I want to give a big shoutout to all the students who stepped up to be considered for a leadership role at school. You’ve shown such maturity and confidence throughout the selection process—it’s been really impressive and you should be very proud of yourselves. As a year adviser, it’s been amazing to see you all grow into articulate young adults. Many of you have presented some great ideas on how you can represent the school, contribute to the community, and improve our current systems. You spoke from the heart and each and everyone of you would make an excellent leader.
Just a friendly reminder that Year 11 students can get help from our senior study tutor, Miss Schafer, in the library during Period 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She might also be available at other times if arranged beforehand. Miss Schafer can assist you with organising assessments and managing workloads during busy times. If you’re having trouble reaching her, feel free to email her or come see me, and I’ll help you get in touch.
As we approach Term 3 assessments, remember to use the schedule to help balance your work and personal life. Planning your time well in advance, especially during heavy assessment periods, can really reduce stress. Weeks 8-9 are set aside for AT3 Examinations, so take that into account when organising your other commitments.
