Mount View High School is committed to positive wellbeing which underpins student engagement. Fostering student voices is an integral component of this commitment. The Student Leadership Group offers students the opportunity to represent the interests of their peers and to build their capacity to contribute to the school and wider community.
With an emphasis on service, integrity, and school pride, leadership at Mount View High School will focus on academic, sporting, cultural, and community pursuits. The Student Leadership Team will empower its members with a voice in the planning and decision-making of the school.
The purpose of the Mount View High School Student Leadership Team is to:
Provide a forum for the discussion of student ideas and opinions
Build and support a positive school culture by encouraging participation
Provide opportunities for the development of leadership skills
Support the activities and initiatives of other groups within the school and community, including charitable organisations
We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands.
We acknowledge the 3 language groups in our AECG area. The Awabakal people, the Wonnarua people and the Darkinjung people.
We show respect to our Elders past and present, along with the leaders of the future who are learning and carrying forward our traditions and culture both here at school and in the wider community.
We extend that respect to the Aboriginal people present today, as well as the non-Aboriginal people here, as we continue working together on carrying our culture forward.
