Year 7 Art
Year 7 were busy this term creating their major works, involving appropriating a famous piece of art. The students combined the skills they had attained throughout the year and formed their own ideas and expressions of the artwork to develop their major assessment task. Students learnt to trust the process and experiment with different mediums and layering to fill up the space.
In this project, the Year 7s connected their pieces to the world around them, drawing inspiration from their own experiences and surroundings. By following the distinctive style of renowned artist Jisbar, they creatively transformed their chosen works, making them personal while respecting the original influence. This project not only refined their technical skills but also encouraged individuality and deeper artistic exploration.
