SPECIAL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (SRE)

Mount View High School currently offers Year 7 students the opportunity to engage in religious education. The timing of the religious education instruction is organised so as to not adversely impact on student studies.

The Cessnock Christian Education Association Board delivers a Christian based Special Religious Education (SRE) program at Mount View High School. Contact details of SRE program coordinators can be provided by the school if required. Further information regarding the SRE program delivered at Mount View High School can be obtained at

http://oursre.org.au/content/oursre-curriculum/gjg8h4.

Parents are required to indicate if they would like their child to attend the special religious education program being offered by Mount View High School by completing the SRE form supplied in the enrolment package.

At any time, you have the right to change your SRE nomination or to withdraw your child from the nominated lessons.

In the allocated time/s set aside for SRE, students not attending will be provided with supervised alternative meaningful activities. These activities could include but are not limited to reading, private study or completing homework. Students will be supervised in a separate physical space from SRE classes and will be supervised by school teaching staff.
