Invited Students - Yoga Sync Program

Selected / invited students accross all year groups have the opportunity to be apart of the Yoga Sync Program run by Janine De Jorge, a fully qualified Children's Yoga Teacher, learning yoga poses that relieve tension and stress on a physical, mental and emotional level. Sessions will include breathing techniques that reduce anxiety and regulate emotions. Mindset activities taught will help to create lasting change.

Year 9 Girls - Pit Stop Excursion

All female students in Year 9 will be participating in the PitStop Health Promotion Program at Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) Cessnock. PitStop Health Promotion Program is delivered in small groups by a range of agencies which support the health care needs of young people. A range of topics relating to health are covered including Oral, Mental and Sexual Health, Drugs and Alcohol, Road Safety, Healthy Eating, Sexual Assault, Skin Cancer and Smoking Cessation. Students will be departing Mount View High School at 9:00am and will be walking to PCYC Cessnock and returning to Mount View High School at 2:45pm. Students will be supervised by Ms Scheffler and Mr Dibben. There is NO COST to the students and all students are required to wear full school uniform. Students can bring their own food on the day. If required, the PCYC canteen will be open throughout the day and students will be able to purchase a range of products.

Students in Years 10, 11 & 12, who have registered/returned their permission notes, will attend the RAAF Base Careers Day at Williamtown RAAF Base on Tuesday 17th September. Students will be travelling by bus - departing Mount View High School at 8:00am and returning after 3:00pm so alternate arrangements for afternoon pick up will need to be made by parents/carers.
