As 2024 draws to a close, the PDHPE faculty reflects on another positive year of health, physical education and sport at Mount View High School, having witnessed some amazing talent both in and out of the classroom.
Term 4 has seen many sporting teams take to the field, although not as many as we hoped for- resulting from our excursion policy. Please encourage your child to ensure behaviour, attendance and uniform is in line with this policy so we have the best chance to field our awesome athletes.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce Mr Parish (PDHPE, PASS and SLR Teacher extraordinaire) is leaving our school. Thank you for your immense contribution to Mount View High School over the past 10 years. Best wishes on your new adventure. We will miss you!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the Mount View High School community. Stay safe.
PASS Football
The Year 9 and 10 PASS football classes recently faced off in an exciting game of NFL, showcasing the skills they've been studying this term. Year 10 entered as the heavy favourites, yet Year 9 put up a strong defensive front, with Cohen Brook and Zac Turner creating challenges for the older team. Zane White skillfully guided Year 9 as quarterback, keeping the team coordinated. With the game on the line, Nash Waddell executed a perfect play to bring the score into overtime, and Jaxyn Brook sealed the win with a decisive field goal, marking a thrilling end to a hard-fought match.

As they engage in rigorous practice sessions, the students are enhancing their technical abilities and also working on developing tactical awareness and mental preparation.
Open Netball teams 2024 / 2025
This term, our open boys and girls netball teams showcased their talent and determination as they competed in both the Coalfields Zone Gala Day and Round 1 of the Combined High Schools (CHS) competition. Both teams displayed exceptional sportsmanship and skills, representing our school with pride.
The girls' team put on a powerful display, dominating each game and finished the day undefeated—a testament to their effort and teamwork. The boys also performed remarkably, undefeated until their final game which ended in a nail-biting draw, and, in an incredibly close countback, they were just edged out of the champion title.
Ms. Tritton and Riley Blewett would like to extend their congratulations to every player for their dedication and skill on the court. A special shoutout goes to Jorja Fairlie, who supported the event as an umpire, ensuring fair games.
Congratulations once again to both teams for their outstanding achievements. We look forward to seeing the girls progress to the Hunter top 16 early next year!
