Cessnock Bunnings employee and SLSO Tess accepting donations from Cessnock Bunnings for the Green Growers Program.
The MVHS Green Growers Program has been operating for several years and has proven to be very successful. This year, our team has partnered with Bunnings Cessnock to improve the program so that it is targeted at recycling, worm farming, seedling raising, composting and other activities aimed at learning about the plant cycle. A big focus is being placed on sustainability, the environment and recycling. Produce will be utilised in other programs such as our Cookers program to develop life skills and enhance student confidence. A big thank you to Bunnings Cessnock who are donating items that will help the improvement of this program during 2023.
Brainstorm Productions
Another fantastic drama production was presented by Brainstorm for years 7 and 8 already this term.
This production was called Cyberia and discussed the pitfalls of social media through performance.
Brainstorm Productions programs are modelled on the practice of Theatre in Education, which helps aid the educational process and student learning using live in-school theatre.
Priceline Pharmacy Cessnock are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our Young Community so have partnered with MVHS to support our Girls Group. They will be providing product donations that will make a big impact on the content that is delivered in the program this year.
