And that’s a wrap! A difficult and at times, challenging term has drawn to a close. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both my year groups for a strong start to 2022. The way that the students have approached the adversity of COVID, isolations and assessments with great positivity and enthusiasm.
A highlight of the term was the Year 7 Challenge Day where 130 students and their peer leaders made their way down to Cessnock Basketball Centre and participated in a variety of team challenges and activities. A great way for a great year group to celebrate the end of Term 1. I would like to finish by thanking all students for their commitment to learning and achievement so far. Have a great and well deserved Easter break.
Year 7 Wellbeing Programs
This term, students in Year 7 have attended wellbeing programs such as the Green Growers and Cooker programs. Students focus on positive relationships with their peers and developing skills in cooking and landscaping.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands. We acknowledge the 3 language groups in our AECG area. The Awabakal people, the Wonnarua people and the Darkinjung people. We show respect to our Elders past and present, along with the leaders of the future who are learning and carrying forward our traditions and culture both here at school and in the wider community. We extend that respect to the Aboriginal people present today, as well as the non-Aboriginal people here, as we continue working together on carrying our culture forward.
