Term one has come to a close after some difficult and trying times due to absences directly related to COVID and required isolation periods. Thank you to all families who have respected and followed these guidelines whilst also notifying our Attendance Office.

In saying that, we do need to recognise that Attendance Matters. Students need to be at school and in class every single day wherever possible.

Term One Mid Term Attendance Reports have been sent home and should be reflected upon to set goals moving forward. New reports will be sent home at the start of Term 2 which can then also be used to compare trends in attendance over Term 1.

It is imperative that our students aim for 96-100% attendance where possible as non-attendance will have a significant impact on academic progress and student wellbeing.

Attendance

I have been reviewing student data over the term and recognising students across Year 10 and 11 for their 100% attendance and zero behavioural referrals. It was not surprising to see that over close to 25% of our cohort were in this bracket and should be congratulated. Throughout the coming terms, we will be looking to further acknowledge the positive contributions that our students make to our great school and community.
