As it is Week 5, assessment due dates are quickly approaching and classroom teachers are beginning to support students in class in preparation for any upcoming exams. Here are some tips to get students through this time frame:
Be organised. Keep all assessment notifications in one place such as a display folder
Keep assessment dates on a calendar at home or in a phone to remember when they are due
Ask for help if overwhelmed or are not sure how to complete the task. Students can ask their classroom teachers or come to see myself or any of the staff in the Teaching and Learning Faculty for assistance.
Last term students were all asked to submit subject selections for Year 9, 2023. Classes are filling up quickly and if students would like to change their electives for next year they need to come and see me as soon as possible. Also, for those students who chose Commerce in the original preferences, this subject has now been made available. Come and see myself or Mr Jorgensen if you need to discuss your elective selections for 2023.
On a fun note, students in Year 8 have been having a blast on a Thursday afternoon at Aqua Golf. Congratulations to Riley Want and Jack Swanbrough for winning prizes in Week 4. Finally also congratulations to William Slade, Olivia Pollock, Emily Jackson and Lilly Harris for excelling in consistently representing Mount View High School in a positive manner within the community.
Year 8, thank you for a fantastic year. Have a well earned holiday and I look forward to continuing to support you in Year 9, 2023.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands. We acknowledge the 3 language groups in our AECG area. The Awabakal people, the Wonnarua people and the Darkinjung people. We show respect to our Elders past and present, along with the leaders of the future who are learning and carrying forward our traditions and culture both here at school and in the wider community. We extend that respect to the Aboriginal people present today, as well as the non-Aboriginal people here, as we continue working together on carrying our culture forward.
