We made it! It has been a big Term 4 and Year 11 are now officially Year 12. This means that students are well into their HSC course content with many busy completing their first assessment tasks. Students have been working diligently and are to be commended for their hard work and focus in what has been such a difficult year.
It has been great to see Year 12 wearing their new senior school jerseys – they look amazing and have really given us a sense of community. It was a welcome surprise for students on our return to school post lockdown. A second order was placed this week and these are due to arrive when school resumes next year.
It has been great to see so many students utilising Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the library. Along with their regular Classroom teachers, Year 12 are extremely fortunate to receive assistance with assessment preparation and classwork from MVHS’s Senior Study Tutor, Ms Jessica Schafer. She can help with all subjects and all things Year 12. The SPHERE is also a wonderful support here at Mount View where trained staff dealing in anxiety and stress are on hand if needed.
Christmas holidays are a heartbeat away where students have the opportunity to rest, relax and rejuvenate. It is recommended that, with many assessments due in Term 1, students try and keep on top of revision and the reading of allocated texts that have been assigned to them over the break. Every student was also emailed the assessment schedule at the start of the term to add to their planner. This can also be found using the link:

I hope you and your families have a wonderful festive break, enjoying time spent together. I can’t wait to see Year 12 back in 2022 for the final year of their school journey. Here’s to a positive and successful 2022!
