2021 has finally come to a close with Year 9 and 10 students applying themselves diligently across Semester 2 in an incredibly trying time with the COVID lockdown and learning from home. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Year Advisors, Ms Bendall and Ms Hunt, as well as our strong and dedicated Wellbeing Team for all that they have done in supporting staff, students and families. I’d also like to thank Head Teachers, Classroom Teachers, SLSO’s and SASS staff for continuing their dedicated approach to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive in and outside of the school environment.
Attendance continues to be a focus of our school, along with Literacy and Numeracy, HSC strategies and Wellbeing support. Moving into 2022, these areas will have significantly higher levels of accountability with all staff and students working towards our common vision.
This Semester, the SPHERE has modified its approach to support student wellbeing. Some programs have had to be postponed, but they will hopefully start back up early in 2022.
Year 9 and 10 have completed the year with their Principal assemblies on Monday 13th December, where we celebrated some excellent results and achievements from students across the board. Modified tasks this term allowed for students to successfully transition back into school and also demonstrated their knowledge of specific Key Learning Areas.
