All Year 10 Students have been provided with their individual interview times and they are also on display in the Futures Centre. Project 10 is designed to: - make learning more relevant and meaningful - increase confidence in learning - develop interview skills - improve time management and organisational skills - develop skills to articulate a summary of your learning in year 10 Students are to attend school for their scheduled interview time only.

Invited Students - Yoga Sync Program

Selected / invited students accross all year groups have the opportunity to be apart of the Yoga Sync Program run by Janine De Jorge, a fully qualified Children's Yoga Teacher, learning yoga poses that relieve tension and stress on a physical, mental and emotional level. Sessions will include breathing techniques that reduce anxiety and regulate emotions. Mindset activities taught will help to create lasting change.

Mount View High School's Captains will accompany Mr Hookway to the annual Hunter White Ribbon Networking Brekfast. Hunter White Ribbon’s annual Networking Breakfast kicks off the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, an international campaign that runs from November 25th (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10th (Human Rights Day) and encourages action and awareness against all forms of violence against women and girls.

Year 7 - Lifesaving Program

During Week 7, Year 7 Students will engage in a 5 day lifesaving and aquatic program that addresses the stage 4 syllabus outcomes and objectives - participate in a range of swimming activities and rescue skills, eg stroke correction, timed tows, clothed rescue, games and sports . Students will work through a structured lifesaving program on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Cessnock pool. Participating and eligible students will be offered a reward outing to Merewether beach and baths on Friday where they will learn about beach / surf safety and engage in a variety of sand activities. An optional swim in the ocean baths will also be provided. Permission & payment can be made through the school bytes portal.

Mount View High School's Student Leaders & other selected students will be particiapting in the Cessnock Walks Kawuma - a peaceful walk to raise awareness of the prevalence & impact of domestic violence within the Cessnock Community. Students will depart Mount View High School at 9:00am via coach to head down to Vincent Street.
