Year 7 Students have had a busy Term 2. I was impressed by the enthusiastic, positive attitudes and high number of Year 7 students being active and participating in all of the sporting events at our recent Athletics Carnival. There were some great achievements on the day with Belong and Ignite house group earning the most points - well done to all!
Students have now been given their student identification cards and school photographs have been distributed- some school photos are waiting in the front office for collection.
In recent weeks I have had the pleasure of observing some of our Year 7 students attending thewellbeing program, ‘Cookers Group’. It was great to see these students working efficiently as a group, enjoying themselves and creating something tasty to eat.
Thank you to the parents and care givers who attended MVHS Presentation Day Assembly, supporting our students and their academic achievements. Congratulations to all and well done to award recipients, I hope that I will have the pleasure of distributing even more awards at our next Presentation Day.
It is now time to enjoy a winter holiday break. I look forward to seeing students smiling faces when they return for Term 3 2022.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands. We acknowledge the 3 language groups in our AECG area. The Awabakal people, the Wonnarua people and the Darkinjung people. We show respect to our Elders past and present, along with the leaders of the future who are learning and carrying forward our traditions and culture both here at school and in the wider community. We extend that respect to the Aboriginal people present today, as well as the non-Aboriginal people here, as we continue working together on carrying our culture forward.
