Year 8 - Life Saving Program

During Week 8, Year 8 Students will engage in a 5 day life saving and aquatic program that addresses the Stage 4 syllabus  outcomes and objectives - participate in a range of swimming activities and rescue skills, eg stroke correction, timed tows, clothed rescue, games and sports.

Students will work through a structured lifesaving program on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Cessnock Pool and at Branxton pool on Wednesday. Participating students will be offered a reward outing to Merewether beach and baths on Friday where they will learn about beach / surf safety and engage in a variety of sand activities. An optional swim in the ocean baths will also be provided.
