Date: Monday 10th - Friday 21st August 2026
Time: As Per Timetable
Location: ECBC / MVHS

Trial HSC Examinations will be conducted at East Cessnock Bowling Club (ECBC). Information will be included with the student's examination timetables which they will receive prior to the end of Term 2.

14/08/2026 - KuNarr Faculty - Hunter Valley Wildlife Park Excursion

Location: Hunter Valley Wildlife Park

The KuNarr Faculty is excited to visit Hunter Valley Wildlife Park as part of our Science program's focus on Living Systems. This compulsory excursion will provide students with the opportunity to compare the needs of plants and animals for survival, interpret food chains, and identify living and non-living things within the environment.

21/08/2026 - Years 7, 8 & 9 - Brainstorm Production

Date: Friday 21st August 2026

Students in Years 7, 8 & 9 will be attending a live performance of "The Hurting Game" performed by Brainstorm Productions which highlights the importance of authentic connections and safe help-seeking for positive mental health.

28/08/2026 - KuNarr Faculty - Reward Excursion

Location: Dullboy's Rutherford

KuNarr students who have met our excursion criteria will be rewarded with an exciting trip to Dullboy's at Rutherford followed by lunch at the new Cessnock Hungry Jacks.

31/08/2026 - Student Leaders - Leadership Induction Day

Our newly appointed Student Leaders will participate in an engaging Induction Day led by special guest speaker Em Thompson.

The day is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become effective leaders within our school community.

01/09/2026 - Years 7 & 10 - Catch-Up Immunisations

Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026
Time: 8:55am - 2:30pm
Location: Mount View High School - SPHERE

Year 7 & 10 Students whose parents/carers have provided online consent and who missed out on receiving their immunisations at the previous clinic held earlier this year will be receiving their Immunisations as part of the NSW School Vaccination Program run by Nurses from Hunter New England Health.

10/09/2026 - Drama Excursion - The Lion King Musical

Date: Thursday 10th September 2026
Time: 8:30am - 7:30pm
Location: Capitol Theatre

Mount View High School will be attending The Lion King Musical in Sydney for eligible and interested students. After the show, students will then attend a special Lion King panel designed for Drama students.

14/09/2026 - 25/09/2026 - Year 11 - End of Course Yearly Examinations

Date: Monday 14th - Friday 25th September 2026
Time: Per Timetable
Location: Mount View High School - MPC

Year 11 Students will sit their End of Course Yearly Examinations before transitioning into Year 12 in Term 4 2026.

Each student will be given a timetable along with all other relevant information.

18/09/2026 - Year 7 - Coalfields Sports Gala Day

Date: Friday 18th September 2026
Time: 8:50am - 3:00pm
Location: Maitland Park

All Year 7 Students across the network of Coalfields Schools (Mount View High School, Kurri Kurri High School, Cessnock High School, Rutherford High School, Grossman High School and Maitland High School) will compete in the annual Coalfields Sports Gala Day.
