17/02/2026 - Year 10 - HSC Minimum Standards Testing - Reading

Date: Tuesday 17th February 2026

Time: 8:55am - 10:30am

Location: Mount View High School - MPC

All students in Year 10 are required to attempt HSC Minimum Standards Testing across three domains of reading, writing and numeracy.

Students wanting to continue their studies and be awarded their Higher School Certificate in 2028 are required to have met the minimum standards to be eligible for the award.

Students who were absent for Photo Day last week are able to have their school photo taken at our Catch Up Photo Day.

24/02/2026 - Year 10 - Immunisations

Date: Tuesday 24th February 2026

Time: All Day

Location: Mount View High School - LEAP Centre

Each year NSW Health works in partnership with schools to offer the vaccines recommended by the National Health and Medical Research Council for adolescents as part of the school vaccination program.

In Year 10, students are offered the Meningococcal ACWY vaccination. Providing consent for School Vaccinations is now completed online by clicking on the link below: https://engage.health.nsw.gov.au/engage

The Year 10 Immunisation Clinic is Tuesday 24th February - Vaccinations will only be provided at school if consent has been received.

03/03/2026 - JAECG Leadership Team - Leadership Day

Date: Tuesday 3rd March 2026

Time: All Day

Location: St Philip's Christian College Cessnock

Mount View High School's JAECG Executive Team will attend a leadership day which will provide students with an opportunity to collaborate with other local JAECG teams.

04/03/2026 - Visual Art AGNSW Excursion

Date: Wednesday 4th March 2026

Time: 7:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Art Gallery of New South Wales

Senior and Elective Visual Art and Photography students will attend the Art Gallery of New South Wales to view Art Express and the blockbuster exhibition by Ron Mueck.

05/03/2026 - Year 12 - University Roadshow

Date: Thursday 5th March 2026

Time: 8:55am - 10:40am

Location: Mount View High School - Library

Year 12 ATAR Eligible Students are invited to attend the University Roadshow for an overview on all things University.

Students need to register their interest with the Futures Centre.

19/03/2026 to 22/03/2026 - STEM Racing National Finals

Date: Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd March 2026

Location: St. Bede’s College Melbourne

Aerovex Racing are competing at the STEM Racing National Finals, representing our school, the Hunter Valley & NSW in the world's largest STEM competition.

23/03/2026 to 25/03/2026 - Year 7 Camp

Date: Monday 23rd - Wednesday 25th March 2026

Location: The Great Aussie Bush Camp - Tea Gardens

Year 7 & selected Year 10 Peer Support Leaders are invited to attend the Year 7 Camp for 2026. Attendance is not compulsory, however, participation is greatly encouraged to make the most of the social interaction with their peers.

To secure your student's place a deposit of $50 needs to be paid by Friday 20th February. Payments can be made anytime but need to be finalised by Friday 13th March.

26/03/2026 - All Students - Cross Country

Date: Thursday 26th March 2026

Time: 8:55am - 11:30am

Location: Mount View Park (The Basin)

Students will be participating in Cross Country during Periods 1, 2 & 3.

The top ten places for each age group will progress through to Zone Cross Country.

02/04/2026 - Last Day of Term 1

Date: Thursday 2nd April 2026

Location: Mount View High School

Thursday 2nd April is the last day of Term 1 for all Students.

Students return for Term 2 on Wednesday 22nd April.
