The World's Greatest Shave is here once again and we plan on going bigger than 2025! With a fundraising goal of $10,000, our student body are encouraged to cut, colour or shave their hair for this amazing cause.

All students that wish to participate in this event must speak to Ms Payne (located in the English Staffroom) so to get a permission note. Once your signed permission note is returned, you will then get access to our fundraising page so to start your fundraising journey.

Of course, if shaving, cutting or colouring your hair is not for you, and you still want to support this amazing cause, donations can be offered via https://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/st/2108/26198   or our MVHS QR code listed below.

17/03/2026 - Year 9 Visual Art - MRAG Excursion

Date: Tuesday 17th March 2026

Time: 10:30am - 2:30pm

Location: Maitland Regional Art Gallery

Mount View High School's Year 9 Visual Art Class will be attending ARTEXPRESS, an annual showcase of outstanding artworks submitted by students across NSW for the HSC Visual Arts examination. It celebrates the artistry, knowledge and skills of our youngest artists.

19/03/2026 to 22/03/2026 - STEM Racing National Finals

Date: Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd March 2026

Location: St. Bede’s College Melbourne

Aerovex Racing are competing at the STEM Racing National Finals, representing our school, the Hunter Valley & NSW in the world's largest STEM competition.

23/03/2026 to 25/03/2026 - Year 7 Camp

Date: Monday 23rd - Wednesday 25th March 2026

Location: The Great Aussie Bush Camp - Tea Gardens

Year 7 & selected Year 10 Peer Support Leaders are invited to attend the Year 7 Camp for 2026. Attendance is not compulsory, however, participation is greatly encouraged to make the most of the social interaction with their peers.

To secure your student's place a deposit of $50 needs to be paid by Friday 20th February. Payments can be made anytime but need to be finalised by Friday 13th March.

26/03/2026 - All Students - Cross Country

Date: Thursday 26th March 2026

Time: 8:55am - 11:30am

Location: Mount View Park (The Basin)

Students will be participating in Cross Country during Periods 1, 2 & 3.

The top ten places for each age group will progress through to Zone Cross Country.

02/04/2026 - Last Day of Term 1

Location: Mount View High School

Thursday 2nd April is the last day of Term 1 for all Students.

Students return for Term 2 on Wednesday 22nd April.

23/04/2026 - All Students - Athletics Carnival

Date: Thursday 23rd April 2026

Time: 9:00am - 2:30pm

Location: Turner Park - Aberdare Road, Cessnock

Mount View High School's Annual Athletics Carnival will be held at Turner Park Cessnock commencing at 9:00am sharp.

It is recommended for students to make their own way to Turner Park. If this is not possible the school will be providing a shuttle bus service from the school bus bay from 8:20am.

Canteen facilities will be available on the day.
