It's wonderful to see many of our Year 10 students returning to school in such high spirits. Despite a few nerves on our first day, students gathered in the hall and were welcomed by Mr Hookway and myself. I would like to congratulate the cohort on their mask wearing and behaviour in these first few weeks back at school. After a quick assembly students participated in a wellbeing lesson where we had the chance to reflect on our at home learning experiences. After talking about both positives and negatives, we all agreed it is really nice to be back with our friends.
As we prepare for the end of term, students are busy completing assessments and preparing for Project 10. I know many parents and students feel a little overwhelmed by this task and I encourage you to seek support. I am here to help and want to support students as they complete this milestone. Additionally, every Thursday afternoon students will come together in mentoring groups and will have teachers assisting them to prepare for their interview instead of the traditional sporting arrangements. It is important that students attend so they feel confident with the requirements and processes of Project 10. I look forward to the next few weeks and encourage students to take this opportunity to finish what has been a difficult year in a positive manner. Lastly, I would like to say it is great to be back at school and checking in with many students from Year 10. I have missed seeing you!
