Thank you for the wishes of good luck and encouragement from everyone - the teams enjoy hearing that the school is supporting them in this STEM Challenge and feel motivated to do their best (especially Mrs Jarrett's check in class - well done!!).
Impro Racing and Pentessellate had a difficult start to the day. Trying to get the last minute tasks done before we left school proved very problematic with many surprises with the cars. Thankfully the teams pulled together and took on every challenge with confidence and just a hint of desperation – phew!
The registration process at the University of Western Sydney was quick and without any last problems to solve and the pit displays went together well. A couple of teams surveyed the displays and decided that Pentessellate had the best display at the finals and it took the longest to assemble. We are up against some tough competition with some of the best cars in New South Wales ready for racing tomorrow.
Tonight we are rehearsing our verbal presentations and preparing for the CAD/CAM interviews. Lets hope the teams don’t forget to tell the judges everything about their preparations and qualities with their innovations and designs.
